ReLDI Centre is a regional, non-governmental association registered in Belgrade. It was founded in 2018 as a continuation of the institutional partnership between the Universities of Zurich, Belgrade and Zagreb, financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation as part of the SCOPES program (Scientific Co-operation between Eastern Europe and Switzerland).

Our activities connect language technology researchers and specialists across South East Europe and globally. Our mission is to enable and promote data-driven advances in language science and technology for South Slavic languages. We do so by combining state-of-the-art computational methods, including large language models, with carefully designed, manually annotated, and meticulously validated language datasets. Working in collaboration with a network of domestic and foreign partners from industry to academia, we strive both for directly applicable, real-world solutions as well as research excellence.
